Alexander Moldavanov was born in the small Russian town of Uryupinsk. From the age of seven to fourteen, he studied at an art school, where he mastered academic drawing, oil and watercolor painting, composition, plein air, and art history. Upon graduation, he received an official certificate as an artist with distinction.

Later, Alexander graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at Volgograd State University. For several years, he combined running a livestock farm with his creative work, painting in his spare time without any intention of exhibiting or selling his works.

Eventually, he devoted himself entirely to art, leaving all other pursuits behind. In his artistic practice, Alexander Moldavanov primarily works with oil and acrylic, creating pieces in realistic and semi-abstract styles. His work reflects a deep connection to the materials and techniques of classical painting, allowing him to express his artistic ideas and sensations.

For Alexander, art is the only sphere where he truly feels alive and in his element.
